Egypt is one of the first African and Arab countries to embrace the film industry, and studios play a fundamental role in this field. Egypt has long been renowned for its abundance of studios, some of the oldest of which have been used to produce the greatest works in Egyptian cinema history. The Cultural and Cinematic Assets Management Company oversees a group of studios that are among the oldest and most prestigious, having been used to film most of Egypt’s significant cinematic and dramatic works. These studios include:
Madina Studio
Established in 1969, with an area of 57,547 square meters.
Nahas Studio (formerly Nile Studio)
Established in 1946, with an area of 10,986 square meters.
Al-Ahram Studio
Established in 1945, with an area of 25,135 square meters.
Misr Studio
 Established in 1935, with an area of 38,856 square meters.
Galal Studio
Established in 1945, with an area of 11,902 square meters.
These studios are distinguished by their massive soundstages and large outdoor spaces used for filming, as well as their film development laboratories, sound centers, and editing facilities.
